Position Description
Installation & configuration Netbackup
Main activities Perform regular system maintenance, including Incident solving, Change implementation, Patch management, Analyze/solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system, databases, middleware or applications teams
Troubleshooting backup failures and taking appropriate steps
Hands on experience on Netbackup appliance, FLEX.
Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup (Fiber Transport)
Clear understanding on SLP and Vault
Upgrading and patching the Backup servers
Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with Netbackup
Backup/restoration (DR) of UNIX/ Windows Host
Backup/Restore for Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP
Managing Internal Database of Netbackup
Should also have good understanding on TCP/IP concepts.
Need to have clear understanding on Backup Infrastructure and Architecture.
Managing & Troubleshooting Netbackup appliance, Tape Library
Should have exposure towards working on projects independently
Managing and supporting team
Ability to handle technical escalations
License Management
Certification will be an advantage
Thorough understanding of ITIL process
Front-end client facing experience
