We are looking for an Account Director to run account management, client management, and comms planning across giffgaff.

As the Account Director you will lead the day-today management of the business. The role will be fast paced and agile, and you will be pivotal in ensuring that client deliverables maintain a high standard, and proactively look to anticipate client needs. Integration with the wider client and specialist teams will be fundamental to ensure all campaigns deliver to client objectives and are planned, implemented, and reported upon effectively.

You will lead and oversee the day-to-day running of the account and will be supported by a full team. You will report into the Business Director who leads the giffgaff account, and you will manage an Account Executive. Additionally, you will work with a Planning Director who supports on annual planning and campaign responses. You will also work closely with the Head of Digital and the Digital Account Manager, as well as a wider team of media channel specialists.

About You
  • You are a well-rounded Account Director with media agency experience who is confident planning online and offline channels.
  • You will be interested to learn about and implement sustainable media planning practices and report accordingly.
  • You will be as comfortable servicing clients as you are rolling your sleeves up and leading on media briefings/responses.
  • You will look to challenge clients where necessary and work with them to form a trusted relationship.
  • You will have excellent spoken and written communication skills with proven expertise in presentation storytelling to deliver impactful, persuasive proposals to clients.
  • You will be an expert at planning across all media channels - including digital.
  • You will also be competent on all media planning tools (such as e-Telmar) and can dissect data to tell a compelling story.
  • You will be curious and passionate about the UK media marketplace.
  • You will be enthusiastic, proactive and can anticipate client's needs.

Key Skills / Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the giffgaff account.
  • Be the go-to contact for the giffgaff Media Lead.
  • Have an ability to digest, interpret, and respond to client briefs in a high-paced environment.
  • Direct the Account Exec and wider team of media specialists in the coordination and timely delivery of campaign responses and day to day management of client requests.
  • Be confident on MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Without question your attention to detail is sound, you are a conscientious worker, who is as confident in front of clients as the wider agency.
  • Have strong capabilities within use of data and tools to provide evidence-based media strategies to meet client objectives which clearly describe how each channel contributes to objectives and goals.
  • Develop strong relationships with specialist channel teams to ensure effective working processes and best in class work delivery.
  • Look to educate the client - provide innovation session with key media owners to keep client up to date with industry developments.
