Overview and Responsibilities:

Paramount Tech is hiring a 403g Maintenance Technician (Maintenance Engineering).
This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and support of production and broadcast systems for the CBS Network and affiliated production units. This includes configuration & maintenance of infrastructure that provides critical, 24x7 support for on-air and production systems. This individual will handle failures and performance impairments of Video Routers, Audio/Video Transport, Media file transfer & storage systems, Video Switchers, Audio Consoles, Non-linear post-production systems, Production intercom systems, Cameras, Prompters, and other studio production systems to mitigate impact to production and on-air deadlines.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience working with professional television broadcast equipment and the ability to troubleshoot it as well as an excellent understanding of media systems' design and architecture.
• In depth knowledge in two or more of the following: Video, Audio, Cameras, Control Data, RF, Fiber-Optics, and MPEG broadcast distribution systems.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and networking components and topology.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Linux computer operating systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of IP video SMPTE 2110 and SMPTE 2059 PTP is a plus.

• Strong Client Service skills and accountability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of initiative and collaboration, proactive and innovative approach to solving problems

Hiring Salary Range: $47.16 - 58.81.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
