Assistant Project Planner Inside IR35

Contract Term: 8 months

Contracting Authority: Defra

Location: Hybrid 3-4 days in the office in Belfast

As an Assistant Project Planner your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Support the SEO to develop and deliver robust change management.
  • Identify and deliver activities to provide fully operational SPS Facilities
  • Identify and implement process improvements that can be made to enhance the running of the team's day to day duties.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the shared inbox, disseminating information to Grade 6 and dps
  • Manage and maintain a log of outstanding actions to ensure all returns are made within the timescales and deadlines provided.
  • Arrange meetings and provide secretariat by preparing and co-ordinating papers and maintaining key governance documentation.
  • Keep the team fully informed of plans and possibilities, escalating risks or concerns to ensure levels of service are maintained.


You'll have relevant experience in:
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of building positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, including senior management.
  • Demonstrate good planning and organisational skills, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and have experience in preparing project papers/documentation.
  • Ability to work to tight and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and provide a positive contribution to the overall success of the team. 4 GCSE's including Maths and English
