Assistant Company Secretary (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 6 months

Contracting Authority: Network Rail

Location: Hybrid- Waterloo Station, London- 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

As an Assistant Company Secretary your main responsibilities will be:

  • Organise and prepare agendas and take minutes of board meetings and annual general meetings.
  • Maintain statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries.
  • Deal with correspondence, collating information and writing reports, ensuring decisions made are communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to meeting discussions and advise members of the legal, governance, accounting and tax implications of proposed policies.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action.
  • Liaise with external regulators and advisers.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of employees and managing matters related to insurance and property. Develop and oversee systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
  • Inbox management- responding to executive leadership queries.




Essential:

ACIS/ACG qualified
  • Strong communicator both written and verbal
  • Stakeholder Management skills at all levels
  • Minutes extracts experience
  • Strong understanding of governance
  • Ability to work at speed precisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of working well within a team and sharing knowledge
  • Previous experience of working at a Senior level within a secretarial role
