Our Payroll Administration business continues to grow and we are now looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our vibrant office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in office administration, data entry or a junior payroll administrator who is looking to embark on a new challenge.

We undertake pensions administration for over one million members and provide advisory services to schemes and corporate sponsors in respect of schemes of all sizes, including 88 with assets over £1bn. We also provide wider ranging support to insurance companies in the life and bulk annuities sector.

The Team
Our award-winning pensions administration business puts scheme members at the heart of everything we do. Our services include scheme administration, first-time outsourcing, member communications and scam protection.
The Role
As a Payroll Administrator with XPS you will:
- To take responsibility for the data entry tasks and activities which are allocated whilst working effectively in a team.
- To gather data and information from a variety of sources and carry out a range of data entry and basic analysis activities,
- To carry out standard and non-standard payroll tasks and activities autonomously in a timely manner.
- To communicate clearly with Pension Administration team members, including routine interactions regarding payroll and pensioner queries.
- To provide support for senior colleagues regarding ongoing payroll projects and specific business development activities.
- To support the team with new staff members and provide training to less experienced team members, checking and validating their work to ensure accuracy.
- To identify errors and to escalate issues where appropriate
- To be proactive and take on personal responsibility and ownership for completion of task.
- To be a team player, a role model for all colleagues and own.
Your profile
Essential Criteria
- Minimum Grade C/ Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English.
- Data input experience within an office environment.
- Experience of dealing with high volumes of work.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and independently.
- Confident on the telephone.
- Excellent customer service.
- Must have a clean CCJ record due to the sensitivies of data.
- Working in a payroll environment is highly desirable but not a must.
