Summary
As a Head of Delivery you have overall accountability for the technical delivery and execution of product and programme solutions within the enterprise data team at M&S. You will lead highly visible and complex programmes of work and will act as an equal partner with our Data Technology, Data Product and senior business leaders to deliver value and help define, execute and land strategic outcomes while ensuring the overall delivery remains smooth and efficient. This role is working in the Enterprise Data team which delivers data and AI solutions to the business, aligned to strategic objectives, through our core data platform, BEAM.

You are accountable for owning, creating and executing end-to-end technical delivery and performance across domains within the organisation and external suppliers, utilising your expertise in handling constraints, anticipating quality improvement needs or removing blockers to enable the product outcome.
- Drive, own and deliver highly complex and multi-disciplinary initiatives, collaborating with business stakeholders and D&T peers
- End-to-End Program Delivery: Ensure the successful delivery of all technical programs, from initiation through to completion. This includes managing timelines, budgets, resources, and quality to meet or exceed expectations.
- Create delivery plans and OKRs alongside the Data Leadership Team to ensure alignment to the business priorities and data strategy
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management leaders to translate strategy and direction into a set of prioritised initiatives
- Create a data led culture to drive decisions through metrics and regular reporting to provide visibility and insights
- Develop and foster trusted relationships with stakeholders across business areas using deep and relevant technology experience to simplify complex technology issues to ensure successful delivery of outcomes through innovation and thought leadership in line with SLAs
- Extensive experience in successful delivery of large-scale initiatives in a highly complex product led environment - cross functional teams, multiple suppliers, product led
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive can do attitude and ability to set the standards for communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals including director level
- Proven track record of providing Technical leadership across domains, product groups and program management, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen including experience managing large budgets
- Excellent facilitation skills to articulate clear outputs, drive teams or individuals towards specific desirable outcomes
