Amazon Publishing is the full-service publishing arm of Amazon. Our mission is to empower outstanding storytellers and connect them with readers worldwide. Amazon Publishing is looking for a creative and highly entrepreneurial Performance Marketing Manager to join our exciting and fast-paced team.
The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for our author brands, helping the business invent new ways to connect authors with readers.
The candidate will ignite and fuel big ideas. This role is highly cross-functional requiring you to identify new ways to drive traffic to our titles.
They will be able to implement effective marketing strategies, be data-driven, detail-oriented, organised, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and capable of dealing with ambiguity and rapidly-changing priorities.
This position requires performing at the highest standards with significant judgment. You are energetic, proactive and flexible. A strong work ethic and a good sense of humour are a must.
This position will be based at the Amazon offices in London.
Key job responsibilities
As a Performance Marketer [1 year contract], you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing our digital marketing campaigns across various channels and drive new ones. Your primary goal will be to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention by leveraging data-driven strategies.
The candidate should be an experienced performance marketer with deep consumer marketing knowledge. Candidates will have experience managing stakeholders and an aptitude for data analysis. Driving results through continuous improvement, and learning through exhaustive testing is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute performance marketing strategies across multiple channels, including search (SEO/SEM), social media, display advertising, email marketing, and affiliate marketing.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance, identifying key metrics and insights to optimize ROI and achieve KPIs.
• Conduct A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) to enhance campaign effectiveness.
• Manage and allocate budgets effectively, ensuring maximum efficiency and return on investment.
• Collaborate with the content team to create compelling ad copies, landing pages, and creative assets that drive engagement and conversions.
• Utilize analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.) to track and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing to maintain a competitive edge.
• Implement and manage retargeting and remarketing campaigns to nurture leads and increase customer retention.
• Coordinate with external agencies and vendors as needed to support campaign execution and optimization.
• Analyze customer behavior and market trends to inform marketing strategies and identify growth opportunities.
• This is an individual contributor role driven by a customer mindset coupled with sharp analytical skills, and a high sense of business ownership. Rigorous implementation and proven ability to influence without authority will be critical to succeed in this role.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- • 3+ years of experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role.
- • Media agency or in-house media experience preferred
- • Proven track record of managing successful digital marketing campaigns with measurable results.
- • Proficiency in using analytics and advertising platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and others.
- • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to drive improvements.
- • Experience with Excel, specifically: data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and other performance optimization techniques.
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing and performance advertising.
