The Opportunity

With our principal location in Peru, this is an opportunity to lead and develop our Latin America (LATAM) business. With existing high value clients and high margin services, this fantastic opportunity will oversee the growth across Peru, Colombia, Mexico and other regional countries as you develop our LATAM ambitions further. This role can be fulfilled from any of our principal locations in either Peru, Colombia or Mexico.

The Role

To direct and oversee the operational business activities of the Mace consult business across LATAM, implementing operational programmes that are aligned to the strategic objectives of the business.

The role oversees business activities and is accountable for country KPIs and business outcomes. Reporting to the Americas managing director the successful candidate will be an integral member of the Americas senior leadership team, providing operational expertise, business planning and strategic advice to the regional leader and leadership team.

You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Visibly leading, inspiring and guiding the business, providing strategic direction and developing the overall country's long and short-term goals, inputting into the regional strategy.
  • Ownership of the country businesses operational resource requirements, creating an inclusive environment based on vision, direction and engagement. Leading a compliant business in line with Mace Group reporting cycles and establishing KPIs and OKDs (objectives and key deliverables).
  • Overseeing key client relationships and takes ownership of strategic, local or country accounts including government, private sector and public sector clients when required.
  • Partnering and collaborating with business leadership to identify new opportunities with existing and new clients, ensuring all strategic and profitable opportunities are captured and actioned, to further develop and grow the Mace country business.
  • Delivering of annual financial and operating targets for the Mace country business (including KPIs, OKDs and business outcomes), achieved through developing fit-for-purpose planning processes appropriate for a growing, market leading and highly profitable organisation.
  • Leading effective cost management for country business, ensuring budgets are met and utilises data & analysis to drive continuous business improvements.
  • Collaborating and partnering with other leadership teams to identify strategic partnership opportunities and further develop, cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with clients, partners and supply chains.
  • Accountable for ensuring the required leadership and capability for the country is implemented, to deliver the business ambition with robust resource planning and a talent pipeline matching business demand, to drive the Mace purpose, priorities and 2026 strategy. Responsible for converting the group and regional strategy and objectives into country results.
  • Owning the specific Mace country business positioning and market strategy, pipeline, bids and submissions including service offerings, strategic sector priorities utilizes robust market and competitor analysis.
  • Demonstrating 'good organisation citizenship' by working in an enterprise-wide way. Driving the business ambitions, making things happen in an ethical and inclusive way and demonstrating resilience and an ethical, value-based approach in line with Mace values.
  • Leading the LATAM business by example, setting and working by high standards, leads, guides and provides direction to country business ensures a high performing portfolio and teams that meet and exceed KPIs.
  • Representing Mace and the country business, manages and influences key C-Suite and senior external relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, supply chain and relevant government/regulatory bodies.
  • Providing executive leadership, strategic direction and thought leadership across the country business, supporting and mentoring senior leaders including succession planning, onboarding, training and diversity planning.
  • Promoting and championing the highest standards and adherence to health, safety and wellbeing across country portfolio.
  • Partnering with marketing and communications and relevant stakeholders to raise the overall profile of the country business (typically covering including larger and complex country portfolios).
  • Providing thought leadership, industry expertise and expert counsel across the country business portfolio to senior leadership teams and engine executive board.
You'll Need To Have:
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Relevant degree qualification (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable track record in a senior leadership/director role, in the region.
  • Commercial acumen across operational finance, financial and commercial strategy, work winning and pipeline development.

  • Ability to develop long-term strategic relationships.

  • Manages and influences key senior internal (C-Suite) and external stakeholders and provides leadership and guidance to operational portfolio.
  • Advanced negotiation, influencing and engagement capabilities.
  • Persuades, influences, advises and collaborates with others successfully towards a desired course of action and/or to reach consensus.
  • Demonstrates a new/improved perspective and explores and champions innovative approaches in pursuit of a better way incorporating continuous improvement.
  • Champions the use of new technology, helps/guides others to adapt.
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence, negotiate and counsel both internally and externally with peers and senior leaders.

  • Focus on client satisfaction and delivers service excellence for external and internal clients.
  • Flexibility and ability to respond quickly and adroitly to issues and demands.
  • Comprehensive expertise and knowledge of construction industry.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
