Company
Omnicom Media Group UK (OMG)
OMG is made up of four distinctive, fully integrated media agencies - OMD UK, MG OMD, PHD and Hearts & Science, all operating as part of a global agency network.
Each agency is enhanced by having access to a range of specialist Group capabilities across digital, data and technology, content, sponsorship and partnerships, and multi-cultural marketing. This support and combined scale helps us to drive best practice, unlock new strategic value, and provide and develop specialist products and services for future scaling and differentiation.
Our specialist capabilities are also specialist agencies within their field: Fuse is a leading Sports & Entertainment partnership agency, Drum is the UK Content Agency of the Year and Unite is a diversity-driven agency, authentically connecting brands with diverse audiences.
Working at a media agency
Simply put, a media agency takes a client’s messaging for their brand and looks at how best to strategically communicate it to the consumer, taking into account people’s habits and behaviours (when and what they watch, read, listen to, how they buy products etc.). A media agency will typically have many departments that cover each specialist area within this process, all working together to deliver commercially successful, outstanding campaigns for the client.
Working at OMG
OMG is an inclusive community of over 1600 employees. Our people are passionate about media and driving innovation and we’re not afraid of doing things differently here. Inspiring our people and our clients is at the heart of everything we do.
In 2020, we relocated all our agencies into our Bankside headquarters on the Southbank in London. This has opened up new levels of support across the agencies, whilst retaining their independent brilliance and entrepreneurial spirit. For our people, this has also provided great opportunities for mobility within the agencies, allowing them to thrive in different environments.
We are looking for people that welcome and embrace difference, thrive on collaboration, have a positive outlook and match us on our passion for media, innovation, and transformational thinking.
But most importantly, we are keen to meet and hear from people that want to shape the OMG community, that value difference and diverse thinking.
Diversity & Inclusion at OMG
Our vision is to be an agency group where difference is valued and everyone is able to thrive in a culture of equality, inclusion and belonging. We are committed to providing a truly inclusive environment that reflects Real Britain and the cities where we are based, where everyone is able to bring their true selves to work, diverse voices and minority communities are valued, heard and well represented.
At a wider Omnicom level, we have the Omnicom People Engagement Network (OPEN), the umbrella group for all employee engagement groups and activities across Omnicom globally. These groups include gender, ethnicity, LGBTQ+ and disability, and work to foster an inclusive and engaging working environment.
As part of our commitment to creating a truly inclusive environment, we have nine employee advisory groups at OMG and 80 passionate representatives from across our business working collaboratively to develop best in class initiatives and programmes of inclusivity, support and belonging for the business to adopt, either at a Group-wide level or for agencies to deliver through their own diversity and inclusion programmes so that we can strengthen the sense of belonging within OMG.
Disability Advisory Group
OPEN DisAbility’s core objective is to put disability inclusion at the heart of all we do; for our people, our clients, and for consumers. The group works to empower those with visible and invisible disabilities throughout their entire employee life cycle, while at the same time working to create and celebrate inclusive creative outputs for our clients.
OMG Disability are creating a group-wide culture of acceptability and confidence in the disclosure and provision of continuous education to all teams and hiring managers, and we are developing sympathetic and flexible working conditions and practices in the workplace and the home space for everyone at OMG. We are certified Disability Confident Level 2.
